Peter Chess

General Counsel

Peter Chess is the General Counsel at Absolute, where he oversees all aspects of legal and government affairs, compliance and ethics. He is a highly experienced, respected corporate attorney with a proven track record for helping hypergrowth companies scale and grow.

Peter has extensive experience in corporate legal affairs, including initial public offerings, M&A transactions, SEC reporting and venture financing. Prior to joining Absolute, he served as the head of legal of Aeva, where he took the company public via the deSPAC process, and prior to that he held leadership positions at Juul Labs, Cooley and Wilson Sonsini. He has counseled leading brands and companies through M&A activity and other strategic transactions totalling in excess of $75 billion, including acting as lead associate on the team representing LinkedIn in its acquisition by Microsoft.
